Mountford Pigott is pleased to announce that our scheme for a new Travelodge in Streatham has been submitted for planning. Located adjacent to Streatham Railway Station, on a constrained and compact site on the edge of the Streatham High Road and Streatham Hill Conservation Area; the carefully considered proposals comprise a 117-bedroom hotel over 7 storeys with a flexible cultural/community unit at ground floor. High quality public realm has been created to provide external amenity space for the new and existing work spaces within the site.
With a strong focus on sustainability, the proposals will include enhanced performance building fabric, additional passive and efficiency improvements, renewable energy generation via a roof mounted PV array and will achieve a net gain in biodiversity. Sustainable modes of transport are actively encouraged and only accessible car parking spaces are provided on site each with an electric vehicle charging point. This comprehensive package of measures, designed into the scheme from the outset is intended to ensure the long-term sustainability of the development in order to meet client and stakeholder aspirations.
