Our proposals for Lockmeadow were centred around the upgrade of the main approach to the building and the internal mall at ground floor. The key objective was to uplift the design, aesthetics and general feel of the building, giving this leisure complex a new life and strengthening its role as a major leisure attraction and focal point in the area.
With the introduction of new natural stone cladding, new glazing and integrated signage zones and lighting, the main section of the front elevation is greatly enhanced. At street level, the mix of soft landscaping and curved forms of the bespoke public realm improve the visual appeal of the front of the building whilst providing a fully accessible connection with the street level. Internally, the new design for the mall provides a fresher and more open environment to improve the experience of visitors as they travel through the main public area within the building.
