Mountford Pigott is developing detailed proposals for a Trunk Road Service Area (TRSA) in a prominent, rural location off the newly constructed section of the 'Cornish Motorway' A30 at the Victoria Junction, west of Bodmin. It is conceived as a landmark facility geared to serving the whole of the region, fostering Cornwall's tourism industry.
The proposed development features a central 2325m² amenity building with mezzanine incorporating a wide range of A1/ A3 uses around a central food court, a high volume PFS with 10 pumps and 3 diesel pumps, an 80-bedroom hotel with a 700m² restaurant, and extensive parking for passing traffic.
The scheme has been carefully designed around existing "Cornish Hedges" passing through the site, with new Hedges being provided as part of a comprehensive new landscaping scheme which includes ponds and swales as part of a SUDS. There are also extensive amenity areas for the visiting public.
